vCAF or The Virtual Canadian Airforce has been attempted several times but never worked due to lack of time by those in charge. This time a
different approach was taken.
vCAF started as a dream by Shawn Foster. With the help of Sean Bolli, Brandon Van Brunt, Tony Freisen, and Andrew Eckhard, vCAF was born. vCAF launched its forums on February 5, 2007. After much delay and work vCAF launched it's website on May 8, 2007.
The point of vCAF is to give pilots a realistic experience while still learning something new and having fun while doing it.
vCAF is governed by the Chief Staff which acts as the board in charge. All policies are decided by a vote between Chief Staff members.
Since Launch vCAF pilots have burned 54286192.84 Pounds of Fuel conducting vCAF flights, and flown 7279.59999999998 hours.
